"A few falls later."

About: Adult Health & Support Services / Occupational Therapy

(as a service user),

After having cancer in my leg and very bad arthritis in my knees and hands, life was not easy. I fell a few times and on the last occasion I broke and dislocated my shoulder.

Lorna my OT visited me at my house and what a difference she made. Set me up with rails for the toilets, splints for my hands. Numerous advice sheets for exercises and help.

Lorna couldn’t have been more lovely, going through all the help I was able to get giving me confidence to try and do more on my own. My confidence has risen again with the aids.

Asking and going through my daily needs, Lorna was always trying to make sure I was receiving the help I needed and checking online if it wasn’t in her remit. I can’t thank Lorna and this team enough.
