"Out of hours care"

About: Community Health and Primary Care Services / NHS Tayside GP Out of Hours Service NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service)

(as the patient),

NHS 24 referred me to the Out of Hours team at Perth Royal Infirmary late evening in July. I was welcomed by a very nice receptionist and a male Health Care Worker. From the minute I arrived I was treated politely and helpfully. I was seen within a few minutes of arriving. After a consultation with the doctor, I left with clear instructions. 

About 10 minutes later I received a call on my mobile. The doctor had studied my notes more thoroughly and asked me to return as he wanted to provide me with a new prescription. I was given medicine on the spot and a prescription for my local pharmacy in the morning.

I appreciated the care I was given. 

Thank you to the team and also NHS 24.

Sorry to hear about you needing to phone NHS24 last month.

I was very pleased however to hear about your positive experience with the GP Out of Hours Service at Perth Royal Infirmary. I am delighted you were looked after so well by our whole team starting with the receptionist, then by the health care support worker and finally by the doctor. Its great you had such a positive patient experience.

I was also pleased to hear the doctor called you back to modify your treatment plan after going through your medical records in more detail. Its so important to provide this sort of holistic care to ensure you get the best treatment.
