"We will never forget you all"

About: ICST (Community Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy) / ICST (Community Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy) Clydesdale

(as a relative),

My mother who had been diagnosed with bladder cancer 3 years previously  suddenly became very ill. We called an ambulance but when my mother expressed a preference to stay in her own home the ambulance crew called in the district nurses. We were absolutely amazed by the whole teams dedication and professionalism and all done with empathy and care. My mother, who struggled with strangers, took to all the wonderful nurses and carers she met, even managing a few smiles despite her ordeal.

My wife and I couldn't possibly have coped without the tremendous help from the community nurse team, all of them are a credit to the NHS.  They organised meds for us to save us calls or visits to the GP and also organised Marie curie nurses to attend, giving us crucial respite. From thinking we could care for my mother ourselves, we found that we immediately relied on the care team to help us through such a difficult time.  I don't want to name individuals for fear of missing any out and of course privacy, but if you helped us with Nan, you know who you are and we are deeply grateful to you.

Your kindness and compassion touched us both and we will never forget you all.

Thank you so much, with love.

Dear capricornust53,

I am sorry to have read about the passing of your mother and wish to extend my condolences.

Thank you for taking the time to share your heartfelt gratitude and feedback regarding our wonderful community nursing team.

I was touched to read of the relationship that developed between your mum and the team and the difference this has made under such sad circumstances.

I will be delighted to share your feedback with the team who will be delighted to receive it

Kind regards

Karen
