"Watching my son deteriorate over time"

About: Community Mental Health Teams / Community Mental Health Team North

(as a parent/guardian),

I am here to leave feedback about the social services that my son is receiving from Old See House, Antrim Road, Belfast. The attitude that my son has received from a staff member is in my opinion very poor along with the amount of support he has been receiving. I am fed up to be completely honest, I am watching my son deteriorate over time due to the lack of support.

I have raised concerns before but just felt like I have been ignored, nothing changed. This staff member has a terrible attitude, there is no care or kindness. My son needs injections due to his problems with mental health, but no one has ever sat down and just talked to him, asked him how he feels, or a simple how are you. Every time there is an issue the staff member tells us to see our GP or go to a group, however they know that my son can't access these groups. We feel fobbed off, nothing is professional or supportive.

It is absolutely horrible to see my son deteriorate, social services just don't seem to be supporting in the way we need and that a lot of the support is passed on to me to do, it feels like they are not doing their job properly.

I am really not happy with the service their attitude is terrible.

I am sorry that you and your son have had a negative experience of service at Old See House. I am keen to look into the care your son has received in the interests of improving both his experience as yours as his carer.

To enable me to this can you please share some more details via my work email address below I.e. his name, date of birth and the name of the CPN. My work email address is
