I developed osteomyelitis some time ago and it it has become a chronic condition which now requires daily management via wound dressing and long term antibiotics. During this time the Armagh District Nursing Team have kept a monitor on my general health, on a couple of occasions arranging for me to be admitted to hospital when infection became serious, so I could receive intravenous antibiotics.
They have always been conscientious and empathic, reassuring when questions were asked or I was feeling down about my condition. In the case of questions they didn't know the answers to they'd try to find an answer. They helped provide any additional equipment I might need from hospital bed and air mattress to more suitable dressings.
In short I cannot say enough good about any and every one of the District Nurses involved in my care, they deserve the greatest accolade available, my thanks is the best I can give for their care, compassion, help and friendship.
