My father - who is in is late 80s - was admitted via A&E on a Saturday night. Arterial stenosis quickly identified and staff in A&E efficient and very helpful.
Once on ward 220 then 221 the care from everyone concerned was professional, supportive and reassuring. Dr Ratib was lovely to deal with and clearly extremely capable. TAVI procedure then pacemaker fitted both under local anaesthetic. Discharged a week later. Immediate improvement in condition and can now climb stairs etc without becoming out of breath.
We are so fortunate to have such a fantastic service ready to care for our community at times of real need. As a family we have had a number of instances of serious medical interventions from local N Staffs, NHS and never fail to be profoundly impressed and grateful. Dad even praised the food this time!
Superb job everyone involved at every level, thank you, you are all appreciated.
