"Much more positive birth experience second time round"

About: Community Maternity Care / Coatbridge Community Maternity University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care

(as a service user),

I am so grateful to all the maternity services that supported me through the pregnancy and birth of my second baby in March 2025 namely my community midwife Tracey; Emma and Lauretta in the MNPI team; Dr Duncan and the theatre team; the anaesthetic team; the physio team and all the midwives and support staff on the maternity wards and triage.

To keep it brief, I was able to have a much more positive birth experience second time round and felt fully supported and able to voice my concerns and ask questions throughout my pregnancy particularly when it came to birth planning.
