"My visit recently to my medical centre"

I am a very nervous person when it comes to visiting the medical centre. I rang first thing in the morning and was told someone would ring me back. Within one hour I received a call from Elaine who is an Advanced nurse and she was very understanding and arranged all my blood tests etc for later that afternoon. She then rang me the next morning and told me she would like to see me around midday if it suited to discuss my results. She was extremely pleasant, informative and able to prescribe my medication. I must admit I had never heard of an Advanced nurse before. It was nice to be able to be seen immediately and not have to wait for a few days/weeks to get an appointment with a doctor. I feel if there was more funding for Advanced nurses if would take some of the pressure of the GP doctors.
