"Showed so much compassion and understanding"

About: Mental Health Community Services / Condition Management Programme

(as the patient),

My counsellor Sian was there for me when I needed help after the traumatic loss of my dad.

My counsellor was very empathetic didn’t judge me, she showed so much compassion and understanding. I am not in a position to work due to post traumatic stress disorder though once I’m ready and better I will certainly come back through the mental health programme in Ballymena. I am now getting bereavement counselling as that’s what I need. My counsellor was a human angel who I cannot thank enough.

Thank you so much for letting us know about your contact with CMP. It is good to learn that you found your sessions with your Health Care Professional (Sian) supportive and compassionate. I am sorry to hear that you have experienced the loss of your Father and hope that you will find bereavement counselling of some support and comfort.

We wish you well in future steps towards employment and perhaps further contact with CMP. I will make sure to share your comments about CMP with Sian and with the wider team.

Best wishes

Sinead
