I applied to get the Kyleena coil in Janurary of 2025 and did not get an appointment until mid June 2025 to get it inserted. 

When getting the actual insertion the team were extremely kind and caring and I was happy with the care I had.

I was disappointed to hear there was no follow up appointment or no ultrasound to check the IUD was in the correct position. I had issues feeling for the threads so they gave me a GP phone call a couple of weeks after- not very helpful for what I needed.

I then got an appointment to come in and get them checked, this ended in them not being able to locate the threads at all. I am now waiting on a hospital appointment for an internal ultrasound to locate and check it’s in the correct position. Regardless of this I’ve been told removing it after the 5 years is going to be difficult as I don’t have any threads that are reachable and I will have to go to a special gyne clinic for a more invasive procedure to get it out.

Overall I’m so happy with the people but the actual procedure and checks in place are disappointing and have resulted in a lot of stress for me
