"Sent home without any observations"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Accident & Emergency

(as a parent/guardian),

Myself & my teenage son attended A&E at 10pm recently, as he was suffering severe abdominal pains & sickness as well as cold electric shock from wrist to fingertips.  Triage nurse sent him home without any observations or stats.

Presented again the next day at 12.30pm with consistently worse pain. Seen by triage within 5 mins, got BP, oxygen & temp done. Told it's not right but not emergency, go home see GP.

Had already told them no access to GP until end August.

Called 111 as soon as we left a&e for advice. Described all symptoms and after speaking to a clinician were told to go bk to A&E, which we did, to get told by a really snarky receptionist that he'd been referred to GP. I had to ask them to check for notes from 111. After 10 mins standing so she could check with Triage, eventually told to wait.

Waiting time for triage 13 mins, nurse/Dr 54 mins.  We'd been here for 30 mins at the time of writing & not been seen.
