I had a mole so I went to my GP at Haldon House, Exmouth. Dr Gillies was training a pharmacist and he allowed her to find the lesion and identify it. He referred me to Dermatology at Exmouth Hospital.
At Exmouth I saw Jade, who took photos of the lesion and asked questions about my lifestyle etc. I was then copied in to a letter from Heavitree Hospital, Exeter, saying that the lesion had been identified as skin cancer.
When I went there I was seen by Dr Oon, the Lead Clinician. I returned to have it removed by Patricia. Everyone made it clear that if I had any worries I should feel free to contact my GP. When I took the dressing off I was concerned and thought it might be bleeding. I went back to Haldon House GP and they checked it and said everything was ok.
Throughout all these appointments everyone has been absolutely lovely. They've been reassuring, kind and professional. They've answered all my questions and they couldn't have done more for me. I've felt totally looked after and not worried at all.
"Reassuring, kind and professional"
