My teenage daughter recently came in for a sweep. During the morning before coming into hospital she started experience what we thought were braxton hicks. Not thinking much going in for a routine sweep, the midwife monitored baby's heart rate. This has dipped a time or two. So, this was then closely monitored on a CTG upstairs in triage when at that point these braxton hicks were actually contractions.
They decided the best course of actions were to keep her in and monitor due to the baby's HR as his HR was dipping.
From 12:15 - 15:54 my gorgeous grandson was born.
The midwifes at Kingsmill were absolutely wonderful nothing was too much trouble. I'd love to give special thanks to Tanya, who stayed on, and delivered my grandson & looked after my daughter. No words can describe the level of fantastic care my daughter and baby grandson was given. She was amazing.
And then to continue with the thank you's. My daughter stayed two nights to not only recover but she really wanted to breast feed, but he was struggling. She received amazing care on the maternity ward. And Maisey was extremely helpful and put my daughter at ease. And was beaming from the help she received.
Well done. From the clinics, to triage and maternity ward. Our NHS is worth their weight in gold ✨️
