"Professional, but so warm towards our daughter"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Imaging (Xrays and Scans)

(as a parent/guardian),

Our six-month-old daughter was scheduled to have a CT scan at The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow. I was very anxious about this as I was worried that she wouldn’t be able to sleep through it. However, the staff who were carrying out the scan were phenomenal. They were so friendly and really put us at ease. It’s so hard when you have a baby with a health condition, but they were wonderful and made a difficult day so much easier.

They were so professional, but so warm towards our daughter. I can’t thank them enough.

Dear stonekb84,

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback on care opinion.

I am sorry to hear that your baby daughter has a condition which required her to have a CT scan. However, it was lovely to read of your positive experience with our radiographic team in the CT Department in the Royal Hospital for Children. I am pleased that you found them welcoming and put you at your ease during your visit. I have shared your feedback with the Radiographers and the wider team in Radiology.

It means such a lot to our teams to know they have made a difference to those who require to access our services.

Wishing you and your family all the best.

Mary Pirie
Site Superintendent Radiographer
