"Unhelpful and not reassuring"

(as the patient),

I was recently registered as a temporary patient, after a 15-minute wait to hear back on the phone if that is possible. I am x days overdue with my period. And I have had some confusing bleeding and stuff like irregularities happening since maybe May. Which is why I requested to be getting an urgent HCG check. The member of staff I spoke to was friendly but totally unhelpful to verify I would be actually seen to draw blood as guaranteed! I asked if I could be referred to Torbay Hospital instead. Nothing because I am a new patient there!
