"Professionalism and care"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency Control

(as a carer),

Early July 2025, my husband became very breathless with an acute respiratory infection which worsened his COPD,  we called the emergency ambulance and the person from ambulance control was very calm and professional. When the ambulance arrived, the two staff members ( William and Rhonda) were both excellent and helped calm my husband. They carried out his observations with clear information and transported him with professionalism and care, they also took my details and kept me updated. We would like to thank them so much.

Good afternoon Greatservice09,

I would like to begin by thanking you for taking the time to share your experiences of the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service. It was heartening to learn of the professionalism and care provided by all NIAS staff. I would like to share your feedback with those who supported you and your husband on the day and in order to locate them I would require the following information:

Date and approximate time of the incident.

The address the ambulance was dispatched to.

If you are happy to share this information, I can be contacted at Neil.gillan@nias.hscni.net

I wish your husband a speedy recovery.

Best wishes

Neil
