"Stem Cell Transplant"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (Ward 4B)

(as a service user),

In March 25 I was admitted to Ward 4B for an autologous Stem Cell transplant, the final phase of my treatment for non-hodgkins lymphoma. The care I received from all the staff on the ward was exceptional. Everyone was so knowledgeable and able to anticipate my needs and manage any pain or symptoms almost immediately. Being isolated for 3 weeks was incredibly difficult but the nurses and auxillary staff were incredible, so caring and kind and they made what was a very challenging experience so much better. I would like to thank all of them for their effort, professionalism and kindness.

Dear betakk69

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience following your autologous stem cell transplant on Ward 4B.

We are truly grateful for your kind words about the exceptional care you received. Undergoing such a significant phase of treatment, especially during a period of isolation, can be incredibly tough — and we're so pleased to hear that our nurses and auxiliary staff were able to support you with compassion, professionalism, and expertise throughout.

Your appreciation will mean a great deal to the entire team on Ward 4B. We’ll ensure your message is shared with them — they will be so proud to know they made such a difference during your recovery.

Wishing you continued strength and good health on your journey forward.

Kind regards

Kevin
