"They were there at the end of a phone"

Myself and my sister had been caring for our brother and mother who were both given a terminal diagnosis within 3 weeks of each other.

The emotional and physical impact of this was significant from the outset trying to juggle the needs of both plus still function with our own life's responsibilities. 

The only way this was possible at all was through the support both practical and emotional that we received from Cambuslangs District Nursing team. 

They were there at the end of a phone and responded when needed.  Even after the sad passing of our mum, they popped in just to make sure we were okay. 

Nothing was ever too much for them, they sensitively managed the complexity of the situation and knew exactly at the right times what to do and how to extend the support they were already providing.  

They still continue to provide that support for our brother as he continues on his journey. 

No words will ever be able to fully express how much that support has meant.
