"Guided Self Help Sessions"

About: Ealing Talking Therapies

(as a service user),

I was feeling very overwhelmed and anxious about many aspects of my life, my health, my work and my relationships. I signed up to CBT self-help sessions via a self referral to gain some better coping mechanisms. Marvin at Ealing Talking Therapies led me through the Dealing with Worry work book. He was very patient and engaging throughout, remembering everything we had discussed in previous sessions. This really helped me because it showed that he cared and validated my feelings. We worked through the different techniques and discussed what worked and what didn't suit me - so it was a very personal experience. I have definitely learnt some key coping mechanisms and things have improved. I am very thankful to Marvin for all of his support and professionalism.
