The fantastic care our family received from the crisis response home treatment service for adult learning disability

We were recently able to avail of the support of the crisis response home treatment service for adult learning disability. This service was a life line to our family when our daughter who has autism and a learning disability was discharged home from hospital. The team were amazing providing support 7 days a week until 1 am. They came to our home to build a relationship with us and our daughter. Initially they provided support by being in our home and providing assistance with our daughters needs. It was invaluable knowing we had this highly skilled team on board to support us. The team built up a therapeutic relationship with our daughter, taking her out for drives incorporating visiting donkeys, horses and drive thru ice creams! Having this support gave our daughter the opportunity to build her confidence to go outside her family home . The staff tailored their visits to activities of her choosing. 

We will be forever grateful of having the support of this team following a very difficult hospital admission in another trust. 

The team lead of this service stepped up during a very difficult time for our daughter. The care and compassion she has shown we will never forget. She has an amazing team and we will be always grateful for their support.
