"So warming, caring and attentive"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Pre Operative Assessment

(as a parent/guardian),

My Daughter had a pre op assessment at Wishaw General hospital.

She was very anxious and concerned.

The Nurse immediately assessed this and her manner and approach toward my daughter and myself was so warming, caring and attentive.

My daughter calmed right away.

The nurse had made the effort to read about my daughter's rare genetic disorder before our appointment.

We left feeling cared for, listened to and feeling much less anxious about the upcoming hospital admission.

This nurse is a credit to the NHS .

Thank you

Dear Murew33,

Thank you for sharing your experience of University Hospital Wishaw, Pre-Operative Assessment.

It is so lovely to read about such compassionate and person centred care that was provided to you and your daughter. I can only imagine how reassuring this must have been for you both.

I will ensure your kind words are passed on to the department and I am sure the staff will get a real boost in hearing your feedback.

I hope that your daughter's admission goes well.

Best Wishes,

Jenni
