"I felt very well looked after and reassured"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I had a colposcopy appointment where they looked at my cervix as I was having some abnormal bleeding - one of the worries was cancer so I was very nervous. However when the doctor looked at it they could see that there were no concerns for that, however they did see 2 cysts which they drained for me which may alleviate the bleeding symptoms due to hormonal change. I felt very well looked after and reassured - there was Dr Bishieri and also Helena and Yvonne who were very reassuring, warm and lovely - I actually found myself having a laugh with them which really alleviated my nerves and I felt like they genuinely cared which was so lovely.
