The treatment received was wonderful and the staff although very busy presented as happy and professionally.

What spoilt the visit (not as if I had a choice) was the price paid for parking. I was in and out of my appointment in less than an hour yet had to pay £ 3.20 for 2 hours parking.

While I appreciate bus service is available which would incur a cost £2.50 this is not available for myself as I took time off work to attend the appointment so need to use the car to attend. I do think making a profit from persons who need to attend the hospital (and let’s face it it’s not a day out) and we our very rural here in North Devon. I am not against paying but I think it should be a fair price in line with local council parking charges, and charge a minimum of 2 hours is ridiculous.

I am a Diagnostic Radiographer with many years experience of working, and imaging patients, in all areas of the Radiology department. I am also responsible for the governance in Radiology and so make sure that we are compliant with the many ionising radiation regulations that dictate what we can and can't do in radiology, keep the patients and staff safe and ensure we are practicing safely. I also deal with our policies and procedures and oversee compliments, complaints and quality.

Dear Clarence Place,

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback following your appointment with us in radiology, I'm pleased that you were happy with your appointment and the treatment received and our staff.

I'm sorry that the car parking charges spoilt you visit; I will be passing your feedback about the car parking charges onto the estates and facilities teams that deal with the parking this morning. There is a free parking period for half an hour which is often enough time to have an x-ray appointment however unfortunately there are times when we are slightly busier and this is not possible and I can only apologise for any delay causing the extra charge.
