"Held under section"

My Father is being held under a section on the Hague ward. He is very poorly and not improving. We are now being barred from attending meetings or asking any questions. The care plan is not patient centred.

The Psychiatrist arrives late every week and spends only 10 minutes with my father before deciding to increase his anti psychotic medication. No further investigations are being carried out regarding diagnosis, despite the family repeatedly asking for this. Family and carers thoughts and feelings are being dismissed. The psychiatrist is unwilling to answer questions and on the rare occasion they do agree they are very dismissive as though we are wasting their time.

We are very concerned for our Fathers welfare and fear he may never get out.
