(as the patient),

I was recently a patient in surgical ward 2 in the Causeway hospital, Coleraine, with Mr Davey as my consultant. I cannot praise Mr Davey, Sister Sandra, stoma nurse Jessica and all the nursing staff enough for the care I received during my 5 day stay (including the students, healthcare assistants and cleaning staff).

After my surgery my care was continued in Surgical ward 1 Ambulatory unit as I still had a drain in. The care I received here initially from Sister Judith was excellent, she is such a great nurse and showed such care and professionalism as did the other nurses who dealt with me afterwards (Catriona, Rebecca and student Ciara, I hope I have got their names right.) Also the Doctors who dealt with me in this unit were excellent. Thankfully I got my drain out with no further issues.

My name is Anne Dooey, I am the ward manager of Surgical One Causeway Hospital, within our ward we have the Causeway Surgical Ambulatory Unit ( CSAU)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your positive experience of CSAU, our unit has been opened just over one year, our aim to provide a high standard of care to our service users, without the need for admission to an In-Patient bed,
