"Neuro MRI Glasgow"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neuro-radiology

(as a relative),

MRI dept at the Institute of neurological sciences Glasgow. When critically unwell for weeks in Intensive care my dad had to be taken for an mri scan whilst intubated and unstable. After speaking to Anaesthetist Colin it was clear my dad was in safe hands despite having to leave intensive care. ODP Emma  and Nurse Lynsey navigated him to the dept and got him through the scanner flawlessly. Radiographer Jane was a true professional in coordinating matters and provided advanced imaging techniques which were only possible at a neuro facility. Natasha and Scott supported and guided me that day to which I am truly grateful. To all at INS imaging, thank you so much.

Dear Son of patient

Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share your experience with the MRI Department at the Institute of Neurological Sciences.

We are incredibly moved by your account and so pleased to hear that, during what must have been a very distressing time, you and your dad felt supported and safe in the care of our team. It’s reassuring to know that Anaesthetist Colin provided you with confidence and clarity, and that ODP Emma and Nurse Lynsey ensured your dad was transferred and scanned with such skill and precision.

We are also glad to hear that Radiographer Jane’s advanced imaging expertise and coordination were instrumental, and that Natasha and Scott were there to support you personally throughout the process. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of teamwork, compassion, and professionalism — especially in the most critical of moments.

Your kind words will be shared with the entire INS imaging team. They will be truly heartened to know their care made such a difference to you and your family.

Kind regards

Kevin
