To all the amazing NIAS, doctors and especially the paediatric nurses in DHH and CAH
My 15 year old daughter had severe abdominal pain and nausea on recent Tuesday. I contacted the OOH GP, who called me back right away and give me sound advice and directed me to ED. My daughters symptoms deteriorated and she had to be admitted to Daisyhill Paediatric ward. While there she had a prompt scan / IV fluids and antibiotics and was diagnosed with appendicitis and needed an appendectomy. She was transferred by ambulance from DHH to CAH Blossom ward. (I would like to give a special thank you the very kind paediatric nurse Claire who traveled with my daughter in the ambulance to CAH). When we arrived to the Blossom ward, we were met by friendly and professional staff.
The ward sister and all nurse's that cared for my daughter were exceptional. I can't thank the nurse's enough for there help and reassurance during this stressful time. I would also like to thank the surgeon Dr Mooney and the theatre nurse's / recovery nurse's in CAH for there kind and professional help.
These staff are amazing and a credit to the Southern Trust.
