About: Causeway Hospital / Pre-Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

Attended pre assessment clinic recently prior to upcoming surgery.

Appointment with the RN Esther and another staff member.

Both were very pleasant and completed all the necessary tests and details.

Very pleasant, efficient, thoughtful, helpful and caring. 

Took time to explain everything as tests were carried out and when details for administration were necessary they were requested in a friendly manner. The surgery for which I am being admitted was explained in great detail verbally as well as hard copy information and gave me great assurance. 

I was unable to remember a medication that I am allergic to, but, I was very impressed when Esther contacted me to check and confirm the name. A very impressive department giving 100% to patients.

My name is Marie Devlin and I am the manager of the pre -op assessment team in Causeway.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give such positive feedback. The staff all work very hard to ensure that each patients experience is personal to them. We understand that patients can be very apprehensive about their surgery and anaesthetic and we try to allay any fears or worries that they may have.

Thank you also for your kind comments on Esther who is a highly valued member of our team. I am glad that you found the appointment with her helpful and informative.

I will pass on your kind compliments to her as I know she will be delighted.
