"The right care at the right time by the right person"

An elderly neighbour recently had an accident and hurt his leg. We called his G.P practice as it was bleeding quite a bit and wasn't stopping, and we were concerned he may have needed to go to hospital - which he didn't want to do. We also had no way to get him there so would have required an ambulance. When we called  the receptionist at the Wallsgreens Practice at Cardenden she spoke with the District Nurse. It was late on a Friday afternoon, but within 20 minutes of calling the District Nurse arrived and attended to him. It made such a difference to him, and saved on valuable NHS resources - ensuring the right care, at the right time by the right person.
