Arrived at hospital around 2pm to have bloods taken for an overdose, they put a butterfly needle in my arm and left it there for about 22 hours and then took it out without even using it for a drip.
As my partner and I were waiting for a bed as I was in critical condition, they skipped us on 2 meal times and the third time we had to ask multiple times to get a paper cup of cereal. I felt fobbed off by every staff member, who was extremely rude and unhelpful.
The last few hours of waiting on those plastic chairs (24 hours in total waiting) we seen 3 shift changes and it wasn't until the morning staff we met the most lovely, caring and passionate nurse. If it wasn't for them I feel like I'd still be sitting there. So a big thank you for their help.
Furthermore after speaking to the mental health team they were also the loveliest, caring and kind people. I cannot remember their names but also a big thank you for their support as well.
Shouldn't have had to wait for 23/24 hours after being told 12 hours previous I was high risk and then left, I felt neglected.
