"Wonderful treatment"

About: Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries

(as a relative),

My father unfortunately had a fall and split open his head. An ambulance was called and my father was checked over. The ambulance crew glued his head wound and he was able to get home. His head continued to bleed and there was a lot of dirt over the wound. I arranged for my father to be seen at Arbroath MIU where the staff removed the glue, properly cleaned the wound and closed the wound with sutures. The staff were fantastic and did not rush his treatment even though it was near closing time. His wound is healing well. Thank you Jen, Jess and Cherise for your wonderful care. We are very lucky to have somewhere in Angus to receive treatment rather than travelling to Dundee.

Dear Daughter76,

Thank you so much for leaving such positive feedback on Care Opinion about your father's visit to the Minor Injury Unit in Arbroath.

I’m so sorry to hear that your father had a fall and split open his head. This injury can be very frightening to both patient and family members. It's great that the Minor Injury Service was able to review your father's head injury and ensure the correct cleansing and closure of the wound were undertaken.

Your dad was in safe hands, under the care of Jen, Jess and Cherise who provided the wonderful care. I will ensure the nursing team are informed of you kind words and gratitude for the local service we provide.

Wishing your father a very speedy recovery.

Best wishes

Lauren
