"These little things make a huge difference"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Gastroenterology (Stomach and gut problems) Wards 8b, 8c &8d

(as a service user),

Attended QEUH gastroenterology appt with Dr Suzuki.

He took very careful history and did thorough examination. He was thoughtful, patient and sympathetic. He is clearly very experienced and knowledgeable. Clinic area was finishing for lunch and he offered to do my blood tests himself if needed.

I work in healthcare myself and these little things make a huge difference and do not go unnoticed.

Working in a massive, busy hospital is not often pleasant, so to maintain this good interaction and hard work should be applauded.

Dear OpinionGiver

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your kind feedback following your recent appointment at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with Dr Suzuki.

We are delighted to hear about the high standard of care you received. Your comments about Dr Suzuki’s thoroughness, professionalism, and compassion are greatly appreciated, and we will ensure they are passed on to him and the wider gastroenterology team.

It is especially meaningful to hear this feedback from someone who works within healthcare and understands the challenges faced in such a busy environment. Your recognition of the small, thoughtful gestures — such as offering to carry out blood tests personally — is truly valued.

Acknowledging the dedication of our staff helps reinforce the importance of delivering patient-centred care, and your comments will serve as a positive reminder of the impact of professionalism and kindness.

Thank you again for your thoughtful words.

Kind regards

Kevin
