I feel like I was given into trouble by a school teacher for booking an appointment for sexual health screening.
I am a gay man, my boyfriend is HIV+ sex worker, and I attend orgies, I make sure to be tested between orgies to protect my health and the health of others in attendance. My last appointment was at the start of June and I called to book an appointment ahead of my next orgy, towards the end of the month, but the staff member basically gave me into trouble for booking the appointment and refused to do any blood tests, even though I could have been infected in the 45 days prior to the last appointment so that wouldn't have shown at my last exam but would have shown today. That logic seemed to be lost on them. To be honest it felt like they were disinterested. I had never before been told that as I'm on prep I'm totally immune to all infections and just need to attend every 3 months.
Very very disappointed in the level of care and the condescending attitude and the lack of interest in asking why I felt I needed to be screened and at having my blood tests refused as if my previous screening was some kind of magical test that would have caught infections received just a week before.
