I am writing to share my thoughts following a visit from Paul.
I am in my late 70s, widowed, live alone and for many years had poor mobility, I previously attended Paul's balance classes at Dibden Purlieu.
Paul's follow up visit was very helpful. In addition to checking my current mobility, exercise regime and general progress, Paul carried out basic medical observations, all of which were satisfactory. This was such a comfort to myself and family who do not live nearby. Paul was friendly and respectful throughout.
Immediately after Paul's visit I set off for my regular Steady and Strong exercise class, thinking about Paul's visit along the way. I felt it had been very beneficial and I was reassured on a number of points. I welcomed the opportunity to ask questions and seek advice. I felt very much listened to, much more than is possible in a standard GP appointment.
It occurred to me that occasional visits of this nature would be beneficial to the majority of people in my age group. Everyone at the Steady and Strong class agreed wholeheartedly with this.
As well as the benefits described, such visits would give a health professional the opportunity to identify early signs of potential medical problems, enabling earlier treatment and more cost effective responses.
If my comments raise other queries, I would be happy to get back to you with further information.
