My daughter was admitted through A&E at 3 weeks old due to an infection. I can’t praise the ward or staff highly enough. They did an abundance of tests on my daughter to figure out what was going on, they acted quickly and they got her well again within a few days.
Not only did they take care of my daughter medically, they also took care of me as her Mummy too (which they didn’t need to do). They listened to my concerns about my daughter and acted accordingly. They made sure as a breast feeding mum who is also type 1 diabetic that I always had plenty of food and drink, they also even asked about my recovery after birth and if I needed anything sorting to get myself any medical attention whilst we were staying on the ward. I was offered sooooo many cups of tea and the staff were always popping in to check on us both. I can’t praise the staff enough.
The nurses are all clearly passionate about their job and there’s not one nurse who didn’t go above and beyond for us. The student nurses were all fab and it was lovely to watch the staff nurses explain everything and teach the student nurses so well. The ward was also lovely and clean and tidy. Overall, it’s the best experience we could have had. Well done everyone on A2. You made a very worrying and difficult time so much easier!
"Brilliant care"
