"Navigating a Colposcopy"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

After 2 failed smear tests and the identification of minor cell changes I was nervous going into my Colposcopy appointment.

I would like to thank Mr Flood, Heather and Jen for making the whole experience as comfortable as possible. I felt completely in control and informed throughout the appointment. Whilst efficient I did not feel rushed but instead seen and cared for.

In a system bursting at the seams this is sadly a rarity. We are quick to complain and slow to thank sometimes. This is a huge thank you for caring for me so well. Enabling me to watch exactly what you were doing settled me as seeing inside my body is always exciting. I will never think of 'Littlewoods/very' in the same way again!.

The bonus of having a fresh coil fitted quickly and efficiently made my day. More importantly I left my appointment informed and ready for whatever results the biopsy may bring.

Thank you Mr Flood, Heather and Jen for providing outstanding care.

Dear Littlewoods Very

Thank you for taking the time to leave this lovely feedback, after your visit to our department.

We understand it can be an anxious time and we aim to make every woman feel as at ease as possible. It is great to hear that you felt informed and in control, this is very important to us. It makes such a difference to our ladies when they know what to expect. And yes, cervical TV is always available in colposcopy for patients that want to see, what we see!

I will pass on the lovely comments to my colleagues, it is always a lovely morale boost for the team.

All the best,

Emma.
