"Detox at the Asha Centre"

About: Addiction services / The Asha Centre

(as the patient),

I was welcomed in Asha with open arms and felt at ease from day one, all the staff here are amazing and do a brilliant job..

I was very nervous but it soon left. The program set is helpful and its really gets you thinking of why you are here, meetings and groups went well and I don't have a bad word to say, only to change up the menu a little instead of beans and chips most days other than that I thank everyone who me on this Journey!

Being here i found my self again and i now have the tools i need to help me on my journey . its one thing to get clean but the main thing is staying clean . i took as much information i possibly could because ill need it for when i leave  im so happy that this place is here .

before i came here i was looking to get clean for a long time but there's a stigma in northen irleand that theres no help out there and it puts people off looking for help . I want to say this because its very important there is help out there, you just have to be patient but the help is there. so if you want it that bad you will get it.  i know i did and it changed my life .. take as much help as you can because these people really do care about your recovery in asha its a great facility . we could have more if these facilities in northen ireland .

Dear 'talonwr68'

I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to submit your very kind piece of feedback via Care Opinion.

I am delighted to read how you progressed through the Asha programme and how you have found this beneficial in kick-starting your recovery journey. I really appreciate your kind comments about my team of staff and please be assured I will make sure your comments are passed on to all Asha staff.

I acknowledge your important feedback regarding our menu. I assure you I will monitor this over the coming weeks and discuss with our central kitchen should I notice a pattern of choices which are too repetitive.

Although you haven't mentioned our gym facilities within the text of your feedback, it has been tagged as an area for improvement within your submission. I am delighted to confirm that we should have some updated equipment within the next 4-6 weeks.

On behalf of the Asha team, I want to wish you every success on your continued sobriety and greater quality of life.
