"Lovely staff and outstanding care"

I have been attending the Dermatology Clinic at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. The care I have received was outstanding - thorough, deeply considered and tailored to me through regular review of progress, careful physical assessment.

Each member of staff I have been seen by has made me feel valued and brought their own expertise and experience to what has been a long and difficult period of therapy. They have always done so with professionalism, discretion, clarity in explanation and involved me in my own care.

They have also always been genuinely lovely - I was always met with a smile and friendly chat, and while staff were clearly always multitasking and zipping about I always felt they had time for me. The atmosphere in the department is always warm - the waiting room feels warm and I could see my fellow patients receiving the same warmth and care that I felt.

The place is spotlessly clean, and protocols are followed to the letter, with each answer listened to carefully and considered and all questions taken seriously and answered helpfully. 

Each and every member of staff should be proud of their workplace and of their own contribution - they maintain the very highest standards of our wonderful NHS.
