"Both Rosemary and Debbie were excellent"

About: Lisburn Community Services / Community Rehab Team

(as a relative),

My 84 year old Dad recently broke his wrist. After his plaster cast was removed the Home Physio team (Lisburn Community Rehabilitation team) gave him exercises to do every day. Rosemary and her colleague Debbie visited twice a week to monitor his progress.

Both Rosemary and Debbie were excellent and  my Dad wished they could have visited more regularly. We were disappointed when their time with him came to an end. We wished they could have continued their home visits.

Hi Hutchy41

Thank you taking the time to get in touch with feedback regarding the service your father received. I am delighted to hear Rosemary and Debbie were excellent in providing exercises and monitoring progress to assist recovery. It would normally be a goal for the physiotherapist to empower your father (with/without assistance from family/carers as appropriate) to know what actions to take to continue self management and optimise recovery. If however you or your father are concerned that progress is not being made as anticipated, please contact Rosemary directly on the service telephone number provided on our leaflet.

I apologise for the delay in responding to your story. I have returned to work to-day following a period of planned leave and therefore was not aware of your comments. I hope that your father makes a good recovery following his broken wrist and that he is able to use his hand for meaningful activities.
