About: NHS Lanarkshire / Covid 19 Vaccination Programme

(as a service user),

Despite being on time for our appointment  we were kept waiting for 30 minutes   The Clinic was empty no other patients waiting at this time 

The receptionist even alerted the Nurses to our presence but again they ignored us saying we would be next to be seen - hardly an effort when no one else was there?

When eventually we were seen we had to wait for 5  minutes after the vaccine to be observed for side effects  - reassuring to note that the staff then all went for their Lunch, I would wonder at their ability to observe for side effects through a door.

A frustrating and disappointing visit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience at our clinic. I would like to sincerely apologise for the poor service you received during your visit.

I can appreciate how frustrating it must have been to wait 30 minutes, particularly when there appeared to be no other patients. This should have been clearly communicated to you at the time, and I’m sorry that it was not.

Your comments about the post-vaccination observation period are equally concerning. This stage is a key part of our safety procedures, and we expect staff to maintain appropriate supervision throughout. I am sorry that your experience did not reflect this standard.

I will be following up with the team directly to understand what happened and, more importantly, to ensure steps are taken to prevent it happening again.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. We value all comments and use them to help continuously improve the quality of our services.
