Over the past 8 years I'd been experiencing increasing pain in my feet and ankles leading to decreased mobility. Over the last 2 years the pain levels had increased exponentially and minor chores and walking were extremely difficult. I spoke to my GP and was referred to Physiotherapy, it did not reduce my pain. I spoke with my community nurse who quickly referred me to NHS Tayside Podiatry MSK Service in Broughty Ferry. The appointment time came super quick, only a couple of weeks from referral. I had my first diagnostic appointment with Ewan who was knowlegeable, calm and excellent communication. He laid out the steps forward, an initial minor outpatient operation followed by a weekly appointments of treatment in ninewells for bilateral Mortons neuroma with a programme of excerise to continue in my own home. This treatment is still ongoing and for the first time in a decade the pain is decreasing and I have increased mobility. I am so incredibly grateful to Community Nurse (Natalie) and NHS Tayside Podiatry MSK Service (Ewan) for their consummate care and professionalism.
