"Bitten by my cat at the vets"

About: Arbroath Infirmary / Minor Injuries

(as the patient),

Last Friday, after being bitten by my cat at the vets, I was referred to Arbroath Infirmary Minor injuries Unit.

Still feeling a tad shaky, after being bitten, I made my way to the Infirmary. After a short wait, I was greeted by a friendly nurse who listened carefully to my story. I was given directions to the X-ray Dept where my hands were X-rayed, then back to the unit for a tetanus booster.

My “wounds” were cleaned and dressed and I was given a prescription for antibiotics. Two days later I took off the dressings and finished the antibiotics.

Many thanks to the staff for their kind advice and very efficient work.
