Unfortunately I have to come in and out of the hospital pretty frequently. Fortunately my care within the Ambulatory Assessment Unit & Ward 4 at PRI is always second to none.
These clinical areas are always extremely busy, the staff are visibly run off their feet but they never let that “show” when dealing with me at the bedside.
All the staff, and I do mean all the staff, from members of the senior nursing team to the ward clerks and everyone in between, they’re all incredibly kind & caring, with time for a bit of banter here and there too!
It’s no exaggeration to say that the care I receive from the teams there keeps me alive; if I were to have to go somewhere regularly where I knew it was a lonely & depressing place to be, without that patient focused care I’d do all I could to avoid going. That in turn would serve only to make me more unwell, so it’s true that smiles and laughter make for better medicine!
In the setting of today’s NHS where everything seems like it has been cut as far as it can be, this team don’t give those vibes. They do the best they can with what they have and their best is A*.
"Fabulous team"
