"Appalling behaviour"

About: Lymington New Forest Hospital / Radiology

(as other),

I'm writing this on behalf of my partner,

On arrival the nurse/tech greeted my partner with no issues, they held the door as I wheeled partner into the intermediate room (between the waiting room and the MRI scanners) in her wheelchair,

That nurse was very professional and ran through the questionnaire before giving us privacy in a curtained area within that room to remove her bra and other items.

My partner was wearing a top which without the bra you could see through, the nurse who had greeted us asked if she was ok with going into the MRI room in said attire which she was

At this point I left the wheelchair in that room and went back into the waiting area with my partner's belongings including her bra,

After 10-15 minutes, I could hear my partner in the intermediate room and thus went to deliver her bra to get dressed again,

I was greeted at the door with my partner standing and basically being pushed out by the other nurse whilst pushing the empty wheelchair behind her.

I said I have my partner's bra for her to get dressed to which the nurse replied that we can use the changing room, access of which is in the waiting area.

At this point my partner is holding herself up because she isn't in the wheelchair whilst also trying to cover up her upper body which is on view to the next patient in the waiting room.

I did my best to assist covering her modesty and help her to the changing room at which point the nurse just calls in the next patient.

Needless to say my partner was very upset and I thought the behaviour was disgusting.

I have never witnessed this kind of treatment to a patient within the care of the NHS, I hope this doesn't ever happen again.
