About: University Hospital Ayr / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I attended the day unit at Ayr hospital on 2 separate occasions last year. Both times I had carpal tunnel operations on my hands. Dr Gibson and her team were amazing. The staff in the day clinic were superb, I was kept updated at all times and everything was explained to me. My hands are amazing and I am so glad I did it. Thank you to everyone I came across x

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience of the care provided within the Day Surgery Unit, University Hospital Ayr.

I am glad to hear that you were kept updated at all times and that you received such professional care from our staff on both of the occasions you attended for surgery. This is a lovely example of the patient centred care that we strive to deliver.

When times are challenging, it’s always nice to hear such positive feedback from our patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind words with the wider Team in the Department and with Ms Gibson and her Team in particular. I know they will be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be really encouraging for them to know that you felt so well supported whilst you were under their care.
