"They all showed a genuine concern for their patients"

I want to record my gratitude and admiration for the care I was afforded on the Ingham Ward during treatments I received there between March and June this year. My experience of appointments at the Ward was always excellent, but I want to write about one day in early June 2025 in particular.

Gladys, who delivered my treatment that day was obviously extremely capable, and the calm and confident way she went about her work was very reassuring. She was also happy to chat as she treated me, which contributed to making the whole experience as pleasant as it could be.

I was also impressed with the way the ward was run. The atmosphere was relaxed and business-like. The staff and volunteers obviously knew each other well and trusted and supported one another. They worked as a team when it was required and every one of them showed a genuine concern for their patients.

All of this is testament to the leadership being provided, and I want to thank Liz, the nurse in charge that day, for leading such an outstanding team.
