"My own experience on the mental health ward"

I was taken here when I was sectioned in my late teens, and I have come back now a few years later.

The care has gotten better and I feel the administering of medication is better now than previously. However, some staff will sit in the office all day chatting and often I have feel ignored when asking for prescriptions for skin, heartburn or anything else.

Some staff are very good and helpful. However, I feel some staff put a front up to the “better mental health” people and talk horrible to the people more worse off or "not helping themselves". Some staff you cannot fault one bit, they love their jobs and have plenty of care and compassion.

Sometimes, people tell you to tune into yourself then when you do they act like you’re a liar. I opened up and got everything thrown in my face by a nurse on this ward.
