"Absolutely invaluable!"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Maternity unit

(as a relative),

Maureen a fantastic Maternity Care Assistant, made an absolutely pivotal visit and spent almost 2hours answering our questions and ensuring our concerns were addressed. Our baby had just been born and we experienced a very difficult first night at home, she rectified our mistakes with feeding and provided a teat to assistant latching by the baby. At every stage she insisted we take our time and think about any further question we may have. She provided advice on nappy changing and checked my partner's C-section bikini incision was healing appropriately. Without her we would have struggled. She is absolutely invaluable!

Dear Grateful2025,

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby, I wish to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am delighted to read you had such a positive experience with Maureen.

Early days at home with a new baby can be challenging and it sounds like she managed to provide you with the time and support to assist with feeding and reassurance.

I will ensure this feedback is shared with her, and I wish you well on your journey as a family together.

Kind regards

Alana Harrower, Department Manager / Senior Midwife
