"The ward was very tidy and organised"

About: Cameron Hospital / Recovery & rehabilitation Cameron Hospital / Stroke care

(as a relative),

My Husband has Dementia but sadly had taken a Stroke aswell.

It has been very challenging for the staff due to my Husband having Dementia, he did refuse alot of care, yet the staff on Letham Ward never gave up.

He has been looked after very well and all his needs were met. All the staff has been very nice and helpful.

The garden has been a big help as we took him outside to help with his moods .

The ward was very tidy and organised .

Dear CYosw33

Hello, my name is Shirley ward and I am the Senior Charge Nurse in Letham, I would like to thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your husband's care. I was deeply moved by your words and the strength you have shown during such a challenging time.

It is reassuring to hear that, despite the complexities of your husband’s condition, the staff remained committed to providing him with compassionate and consistent care. Your acknowledgement of their dedication speaks volumes about their professionalism and empathy.

I’m glad the garden was a helpful space too, sometimes just getting outside can make such a difference in someone’s mood. It’s lovely that you were able to have those moments together.

Thinking of you both and sending my best wishes.

Kind regards

Shirley
