"Appointment at Respiratory at fvrh"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

I saw a doctor at respiratory in March.  She said she would see me again in 2 months.  She then wrote to my GP to say she would see me in June.  I eventually got an appointment for next week.   I've just had a phonecall to say that is cancelled and I will get another one.  I asked when and was told in 6 weeks.   I now believe this is due to junior doctors strike.  I've read in the press that Scottish govt have told nhs forth valley to address their waiting lists.  Cancelling overdue appointments is not addressing waiting lists or providing patient care.

I feel ignored and uncared about.

Dear Mrs Scottiedogz

I am sorry to hear of your current situation and I understand that when we do not communicate clearly it can add additional worry and stress.

I am happy to review your current out patient waits and update you with an accurate explaination of what has happened and what you can expect from us in the future.

I can be contacted via email alison.howitt@nhs.scot

I look forward to hearing from you

Alison
